A REGULAR DAY IN MY LIFE
A REGULAR DAY IN MY LIFE
People ask me
"How was your day?"
I just smile and reply according to the people such as, once the cleaner asked me I smiled at him firmly and replied
"It was a good one Mark, how was yours, how's family?".
Similarly one day Mr. Erickson a selfish and moral less associate of mine asked me and to which I just replied
"Fine"
I rushed from there in order to save my mind from being corrupted. Similarly once my friend John asked me so I laughed and replied
"Just going man life is up and down no one has luck like you".
My wife asks me everyday when I get back so I give her my inner replies like one day it was a really bad one so I replied
"Happy that it is over".
She understood.
But in my life there was never such a strange incident which happened to me when I was waiting at the Richmond Airport for my flight to Dallas in order to meet a client. A man sat beside me and as due to my old habit of observing people due to my work,I made some deductions in my mind. I concluded that he was a rich but simple man with some fine tastes due to his 4500$ watch with which he had moderate clothes and a cheap bag but another 3500$ worth of shoes he had wore in his feats. My flight was delayed by 2 hrs and so to kill some time I was going through daily updates on Finance such as Stock Prices and other current affairs. That man seemed interested in the stocks especially he was just a boy to be precise around 24-25 years and then with a little bit of curiosity I deduced some more with a sneak pick in his phone and concluded that he was a huge stocks investor but he was in tense when a couple of stocks went down which led me to conclude that he is a beginner and this luxury is by his family wealth. After half an hour he asked me
"This delays are nerve breaking".
I agreed to it and continued my business. He asked again
"How was your day?"
I was getting bored and also was low on juice in my phone so I thought of an interesting reply
"Nothing good nor bad just average was going to meet a client in Dallas",
He replied
"Oh great I live in Dallas".
I smiled and nodded my head. He continued
"Do you work as in a job or have a business or something to earn?"
I wanted to have fun so I replied
"Ya, for earning basically yesterday I confirmed a person's death".
I could look the turn in his face and I almost giggled but wanting to continue this I just decided to have some fun over it. He asked with a low voice this time
"You, joking right?"
I could look at his tone and expressions of his face when he asked me this Question. I replied
"No absolutely not".
He was silent for a minute or so thinking what he should do, should he plan a run or just shift away a few benches. I was enjoying myself looking at that young man so I continued
"Do you know just a few days back I sent a group of boys to their death beds, they would die tomorrow because of me".
After this it seemed that the young man had built enough courage in himself and he spoke
"Why what was their fault?"
Upon which I replied
"Oh they had seemingly crossed their line of behavior and my associates did not like it so they were sent to their death beds".
His inner turmoil with each and every answer of mine would grow and grow his body was into actions his hands, legs, neck all were in tremors as if he was unstable. He gulped down through almost half of his water bottle, he had sweat on his body. With a frightening voice now he asked me again
"What do you do, I mean what is your business which is so strict that there is no tolerance on misbehavior?"
I replied
"See it is complicated my business depends on the client if the client wants me to do good I do it for them in a sum of money and same goes the other way round that if a client wants me to do something good I do it for a sum of money but with a moral code."
I understood that it was enough for him, but before I could say any further he just walked away after wishing me a good day which I felt was kind and gracious of him. We were in the same flight to Dallas and he reportedly watched me from his seat a couple of rows ahead and it seemed like he was stalking at me. When the plane landed in Dallas he spotted me at the baggage compartment and I purposefully stood right beside him. He swiftly took his luggage and started heading towards the road for a taxi. I wanted to tell him the truth so I again caught him and before I could say anything he screamed
"Please don't kill me, I will in fact never meet you in your life".
I laughed like anything and told him just a single line which was enough for him and made him laugh and shocked at the same time.
"I AM A CRIMINAL LAWYER".
