The Green Door
The Green Door
I opened the green door
First thing that I heard was the memory's roar
15,years since that lock was touched,
the rust looked like gold and
the lock itself like a museum load
When I opened the door
A wave of dust just came running to hug me
With that a ball came rolling
It seems such as the wind had made it's mind of trolling
with each step that I took further, I found a piece of my life,
I found pieces of my life which were forgotten long ago.
Like a movie, those bits and pieces were showing me my forgotten life.
Each and every step showered me with glimpses of what I had forgotten.
with each inch which I took, I discovered the forgotten relics of my life
such as that old dusty books lying in the corner
or that smiling photo of mine which was just starring at me for some reason
not to forget that football which my legs loved each and every day.
Now, its just me gazing at the window with a tear in my eye,
remembering the past with a heart full of sigh.
but alas I still had a smile which looked at the future's prospect.
