STORY OF A STAGE

STORY OF  A STAGE

The screen had taken over everyone and everything. There were just screens all around now. The TV was the main star of the shows now a days everyone just seemed to have been seeing the screens and seemed to have forgotten that wooden floor which had served as the pioneer of each and every aspect of what is now seen on a screen instead performed in front of audience and were the performers waited for just a single cheer and that natural cheer would automatically lighten up the entire aura around the theatre. But now everyone was just interested in that world of screen which had the total support of computers and other modern facilities instead of that raw and sheer product of brilliance which would produce the best in class performances which were beyond imagination of anyone watching. It would be anything portraying itself as a cradle of new era or finding itself in the center of destruction of the memento or the charm by the performer who would be shown battling his demons and that wooden floor would bring out the life in the entire surrounding and give it a form of a living embodiment.

In the midst of one common day. An old man came inside and amidst the dark and gloomy atmosphere of the long forgotten theatre he sat down on an old wooden front seat which had some dust on it and it indicated that there had been a brief period since someone had cleaned it. The man took a deep breathe and calmed himself down and just glared and smiled at the stage. Just as he was staring at the stage with a smile a young boy who was working there came upto him and asked.

"What are you doing here?"

The man replied

"Just cherishing my old memories."

The curious boy asked

"What memories would it be?"

The man replied

"The memories, which I cherish with my heart before I became slave to a screen and the enjoyment which I have long lost in performing which I once got from this wooden floor."

The boy asked again

"Please can you elaborate?"

The man stood up and said

"This my friend the wooden floor here is the cradle of everything, this floor has seen the beginnings of countless figures and their rise from the ashes and changing the dynamics of the philosophy of the world we know today. Greatest of all authors, poets, actors everyone worships this wooden floor. No matter where they go and how far they reach but this wooden floor will always remain ahead of them. This floor has seen the best of all, from Shakespeare's legendary Legendary works to Oscar Wilde's masterpieces and even braced Sophocles in his time. This wooden floor has carried the performances from fall of Caesar to the rise of Henry VIII to the philosophies of ancient World and far beyond the Legacies of the greatest playwrights to the countless others who since ages have worshiped the floor known as the Stage. In legacies of all the greatest of the greatest writers the stage is to be worshipped and compared to the living embodiment of the world itself. As described "THE WORLD IS THE STAGE AND ALL MEN AND WOMEN ARE JUST MERELY ACTORS PLAYING THEIR PART IN IT." William Shakespeare."
